He was born in Sarıkaya, Yozgat in 1971. He completed his primary and secondary education in Kayseri. In 1995, he graduated from the Military Medical Faculty of Gülhane Military Medical Academy.
Between 1997 and 1999, he served as head of infirmary at Aydın Gendarmerie Soldier Training Battalion.
Between 1999 and 2000, he worked as a team physician in a blood bank in the Military Medical Faculty of Gulhane Military Medical Academy. He worked at Eye Bank Cornea Transplantation Unit.
Between the years 2000-2004, he received training for an assistantship in the General Surgery Clinic of the Military Medicine Faculty of Gülhane Military Medical Academy.
Between 2004 and 2008, he worked as the Chief of the Surgical Diseases Department and General Surgery Specialist at Van Military Hospital.
Since 2008, he has been working as an Assistant Professor at Gulhane Military Medical Academy, Military Medical Faculty, Department of General Surgery.
After his transfer to the Ministry of Health in 2016, he served as Associate Professor in the General Surgery Department of Gülhane Training and Research Hospital.
He is still working as a lecturer in General Surgery Department in Gülhane Training and Research Hospital.
