He was born in Elazığ in 1960. He graduated from Ankara University School of Medicine in 1983. He got Gastroenterology education in Gulhane Military Medical Academy (GATA), and graduated in 1993. He started working in GATA as an Assistant Professor in 1994, and got associate Prof. and Professor degrees in 1998 and 2008, respectively. He is now working as the chief of Gastroenterology department in Gulhane Training and Research hospital. He is interested in Gastro esophageal reflux disease, inflammatory bowel diseases, H.pylori infection, bloating treatment and Endoscopic retrograde cholangio pancreatography (ERCP) procedure.
